Service Description

This class will cover everything from warm-up exercises, soloing, improvisation, drum beats/cadences, and collaborative composition procedures. Our gear will include some traditional marching drums as well as some not so traditional drums and drumming. Musically speaking, we will pull from a broad history of drumming and rhythmic concepts; modern to ancient. The class will be open for drummers of any skill level, and will be a great opportunity to learn about reading & understanding rhythmic notation while learning how to play creatively and spontaneously. Students will be asked to bring their own sticks, as well as a writing utensil and notepad. Hearing protection such as ear plugs and ear muffs are highly encouraged.
